Betsey H. McKeon hired as the new Director of Special Education

and the retirement of Pam Kaufmann

The School Committee of Framingham unanimously voted for Betsey H. McKeon to become the new Director of Special Education.  The F-SEPAC welcomes Betsey as the new Director of Special Education and we look forward to working with her.   We wish Pam all the best in her retirement and thank her for the many years she dedicated herself to special education in the town of Framingham.

Pam and Betsey

Dear F-SEPAC,

I am so very pleased to have been appointed as Director of Special Education for the Framingham Public Schools.

As you may or may not know, I have worked in the Framingham Public Schools Special Education department for over 30 years. My roles and responsibilities have included teacher, Team Evaluation Coordinator, Preschool and Out of District Coordinator and Assistant Director of Special Education.

My passion for working with students with special needs goes back to high school, when I volunteered in my local school system in a special needs classroom and has continued through college and throughout my career.

Each of my roles within the Framingham Public Schools has provided me with rich and rewarding experiences both personally and professionally.

I look forward to continuing this work as the Director.

Sincerely,

Betsey H. McKeon
