metrowest playgrounds (and other accessible activities)

This list was put together for parents looking for playgrounds in the Metrowest area for children of ALL abilities.

How we compiled this list

We asked school staff, parks and recreation departments in each town and parents for their input.  Any phone numbers are of either the school or the town parks and recreation office that have not yet been contacted.

Your input is important

Please let us know of any additions, revisions or corrections by emailing info@f-sepac.org   Your input is very important to making this a helpful list for everyone.

How the list is set up

The playgrounds listed in bold letters have play equipment that is accessible for the handicapped.  We compiled the list by specifically asking if the playground has ...

  1. RAMPS for accessing the top of slides and other play equipment

  2. TRANSFER platforms so children in wheel chairs can transfer to play equipment

  3. CHAIR swings for handicapped and older children.

A ramp is also great for new walkers and children of all abilities and the chair swing, if not being used by children, is always a great place for parents and grandparents to take a relaxing moment.  We put this version on Microsoft Word so that you can customize it and create a list of places specifically geared towards your children and your location.  The list will continuously be updated.  Please check back to get the most up to date information.
